What is PrintChef Pro?

PrintChef Pro is a printing extension that sits between any application and any printer driver. It looks like a printer to the application and it looks like an application to the printer. This simplicity allows PrintChef Pro to control the output of any application and perform page-level, graphic-level, image-level, and text-level operations on the output.

In essence, PrintChef Pro makes all printers very smart, so that all applications don't have to be. Now you will be able to do everything you want in printing from ANY application.

PrintChef is restricted in variable data printing to 100 database records per print. PrintChef Pro expands on this by removing this limit. PrintChef Pro also expands on PrintChef's 2 user license to allow 6 users.

Finally, PrintChef Pro adds printer's marks to the printing style, allowing you to properly tag booklets and multi-up prints from any application. PrintChef Pro also adds "PostScript Features", which allows you to attach any PPD file's PostScript feature to a printing style. This incredible capability means that you can direct tray usage, color management, and more just by choosing a printing style with the features attached.

PrintChef Pro also allocates 4 printing style designs. This means that in addition to the normal technical support, MindGate will support you further by designing up to 4 complete printing styles for you (without additional charge).

You get a lot more than we show you here because you cannot see
what is on the disk from a simple picture. This picture shows you the box, manual, disks, and other literature.

 

 


User Guide

We have paid close attention to detail in our 200-page User Guide. It is two-color and contains over 2,000 pictures, 50 examples, and a host of other information. It is based on the latest techniques in simplified documentation known as "Information Mapping". Here is a sample of our manual:
