Commands

PrintChef comes with 138 text commands to add the time, date, page numbers, serial numbers, printer name, user name, job name, job ID, total pages, copy count, database entries, and your own custom text to any print!

It also comes with 10 question commands that you can tailor to your own needs. PrintChef printing styles with question commands will ask the user that is printing any question you design. It will incorporate the user's answer in the printed or faxed output!

For example, you could ask the question "What Watermark?" and then incorporate whatever text is entered at print-time as a watermark for the print.

• Click on the "+" command buttons to add any command to the command buffer.
• The Command Buffer shows the accumulated commands and text.
• You can "Show" the commands and resulting text as you design to make it easier to get it right the first time.
• You can even enter test data with the "Sample" button to verify that your design is correct.
  
  

• Standard commands allow you to add page numbers across multiple print jobs and across several application's printing.
• Imagine a printing style that asks for a name & title, and then creates 10 business cards for that person-- we call this example printing style "Business Cards a la Carte".
• Other commands are tied to the logging system so you can stamp user names, job information, and filenames.
